P O R T R A I T
Margaretha Gubernale's pictures are a tightrope walk. On the one hand she paints abstract thoughts and on the other hand she adheres to the forms of nature and prefers plasticity in order to focus the symbolic parable as clearly as possible and to convey it clearly to the viewer of her pictures. Her sources of inspiration are nature as well as anthroposophical and philosophical ideas. She strives to create a magical harmony between two seemingly different sides - the spiritual and the material - in a chromatic way in accordance with reality, so that in the end a global, human-friendly, cosmopolitan attitude shines through and in the world an aesthetic, positive unity that is good for modern times and, above all, easy to understand. She wants to give gifts to her viewer and address him in a very spiritual, emotional and technical way.
